After several days of late mornings and rest, I have missed my blog:)

We are living the last days of summer these days... It's not that I am sad about this but for the first time I could not get enough of it. Usually I start thinking of city life and fall collections in August, I dream of wearing layers, knits, new shade of colors but now what is in my mind is the we are handsome swimsuits :)

Rihanna and Diane Kruger made them famous and there have been several editorials in summer issues of famous magazines showcasing this Aussie brand.












I would like to buy one on sale if I can still find. There still seems to be one in Beymen Online but only in xs.

Once I am back to Ankara there will be lots of fall posts on new trends, new collections but for now enjoy these swim suits and the sunshine.

It is Friday but not just a regular Friday... Next week we have a religious holiday during which most of the people will be on vacation just like us. We will be visiting MTs father and then his grandmother and aunt. Luckily it is summer time and they are in Ayvalık now. Hopefully more to come during/after vacation, cause Ayvalık and that region is such a beautiful place.

Besides the coming vacation, what makes me happy these days is listening Metronomy. The British band plays 80s inspired music with lots of keyboards. It is fun to listen...

When did repelling become attractive? Seriously it is not only me, there are thousands of people (well women), fashion editors, designers, department stores who think just like me :) Yes I am talking about Leandra Medine (aka Man Repeller) It has become like an addiction, I cannot keep myself from checking her blog everyday.

So what is man repelling? See it in her own words;

[Man repelling is] outfitting oneself in a sartorially offensive way that will result in repelling members of the opposite sex. Such garments include but are not limited to harem pants, boyfriend jeans, overalls (see: human repelling), shoulder pads, full length jumpsuits, jewelry that resembles violent weaponry and clogs.

It is hard for me to dress like her. In fact I think this kind of dressing is better on Androgynous types (like Rumi from Fashion Toast or Erin Wasson or Ezgi Kıramer) But I definitely get some inspiration from her, especially her arm party thing. (I should do a post about my new friendship bracelets from Mexixo... They are so cute. )

Can't explain why but I really like this look... the slouchy top, colored skinnies, gold jewelery, the pony tail and coral chanel slippers came together unexpectedly to create such a beautiful casual look... Well still, it's Ashley who owns this look not the combination itself :)

I have been searching for a CELINE like choker necklace since Spring. It is so beautiful. But I could not find something similar.









Elin Kling wore such a necklace she designed for H&M but I am not sure if it had even hit the stores in Istanbul.





My latest blog crush luxuryshoppers.net (LS) writers have designed something similar in silver and gold. In fact I like these more as they do not sit so tight on the neck. It might be my perfect accesory next season worn with knits...







Will I be able to get one, don't know yet?

I also like the cuffs by LS worn on both wrists. Aren't they beautiful?

As a jean addict, as someone whose only pair of black pants is a pair of skinny black jeans, I love the August 2011 issue of Glamour US which is dedicated to jeans. "8 days of Chich" editorial is just the inspiration I need. I really love wearing jeans; to work, at night while going out or during weekend...

Alaçatı is our favorite place during spring/summertime as you might have noticed from my previous posts :)

We were again in Alaçatı this weekend with our friends, it is usually so crowded in July and August but we were there especially because of the PWA (windsurf world cup)which took place last week. We had the chance to see several world famous surfers. The wind was strong and it was really fun to watch them racing. Our windsurf ambassador Çağla Kubat was there too. She not only took place in the organization but also raced for Turkey as well as Lena Erdil and several others. It is really nice to see such events taking place in Turkey.











Rowenta was one of the sponsors like Pegasus, and they had beauty stands at the beach. I had later seen that other (famous!) bloggers were also there to attend Rowenta events but I have not seen them as we went to surfing after seeing the finals.

This time we stayed in Adaçatı Konukevi. It is a small, nice boutique hotel run by 2 lovely sisters. They are also running the beautiful Adaçatı Cafe where we had our breakfasts. The streets around the hotel are full of antique shops, boutiques and stonehouse hotels. As Kemalpaşa street is too crowded these days, we really liked wandering around the hotel and discovering new places in those silent streets.













As we only stayed 2 days, I could not do shopping except a few bracelets but there were much more :) Next time I would like to spend some time in those antique shops and galleries hunting something for our house.
