notsofashionable

Well, so much have been said and written about Fashionable İstanbul. I don't want to talk about the designers or their outdated collections.

But I think the red carpet was quite a disaster (except a few). The overdone hair, exaggerated make up and the clothes, how can some one end up like this after spending thousands?

Anyway there were still a few people that looked stunning during the events. My favorite during the event was Derin Mermerci. With her undone-like hair and flawless make up, she looked gorgeous. She attended the Cavalli Show with an Azarro micro mini dress, a loose up-do, Louboutins and Cartier jewelry.

The next day she wore shinny leggings, black beaded blazer and grey suede shoes with the same bracelets. Although this is an official posh look , I think she was still classy.

Last but not least, my favorite look, the white dress and the platform pumps. Again the hair is undone with nude make up.

Is this the new trend?
Lend your trendy scarf from past seasons to your boyfriend.
I bet we will see him with leopard LV scarf the next time :-)

theblackleather

Lately I have been a fan of black leather skirts and dresses. Especially pencil skirts, worn with soft tees, are so chic and modern.

I have seen some beautiful leather skirts and dresses in Desa and Network, worth visiting....

greenwithenvy

I have been lusting after Chanel's Jade (407) nail polish since the first time I saw Chanel A/W 2009 Runway Show. It is such a cool color and the detail shots from the runway are fantastic. Peter Philips, the global creative director of Chanel Makeup, told that Karl Lagerfeld wanted a green shade to evoke the jade notes of the collection and that they in the end come up with this color which perfectly matches with the green tweed skirt suit from the collection.

It was Spring then. Now the Fall collections have arrived everywhere but there are no signs of Jade in Turkey And it has even been sold out in US. Will it ever come to Turkey, will I ever get one, is there a waiting list?

whowhatwear

Maybe my dear theverythirstyraindrop can help me to get one. I am sure there are still a few bottles left somewhere in L.A :-)

maggie

I have been seeing Christian Louboutin's Maggie pumps here and there in several blogs as part of the wishlists.

Last week I have seen this high high pump in a store in İstinye Park and I began to wonder who will be the first socialite wearing these pumps. A week later Eda Taşpınar showed up in these pumps worn under a matching yellow harem pants :-)

specialissuecapes

Capes are gaining attention this fall. Not only the cozy knitted ones but also tweet, cashmere, wool capes that can be worn over prep looks.

I have been wearing my black knitted cape on top of wide leg jeans. But I liked how Kate Moss and Carine Roitfeld wear their capes over pencil skirts. These capes are definitely a must have this season.

I know we are a bit over-dosed with the shoulder pads but I really like this Balmain military cape. I wonder who will be the first celebrity spotted in this Cape, Rihanna?

Always fashion forward Kate wearing capes at different events...

Daphne has been looking for a cape - maybe two :) for this winter. I am sure she will find one that she can stylishly wear with her new dresses and jeans.

thoseheels

Lately my understanding of shoe aesthetic has totally changed. I was liking pointy toe, tiny shoes or thin strappy sandals... Now I like chunkier pieces; studs, zips, buckles, platforms...

I'm totally in love with Givenchy heels. They are sooo hot.

And last but not least, buckle up shoes of Joanna Preiss. Does anyone know the brand? There are similar shoes in "Opening Ceremony" by Chloe Sevigny, but these ones are adorable.
