trench

I have an admiration to Birkin genes. How effortlessly cool and chic they are; Jane Birkin and her daughters. And Lou Doillon proved it again by wearing a trench from Burberry Resort 2012 collection like a dress with black tights at the Burberry Paris Boutique Opening. Simple and elegant.

The trench and black tight combo reminded me of this photo of mine... Although I like my trench I would prefer a waist defining slim cut one like Burberry's...

offday

Not working on a Friday makes a difference. It is really fun to wake up late on a weekday and wander around without thinking that weekend is passing...

Yesterday was public holiday and we spent some time with MT visiting a new Asian Restaurant, doing some shopping and last but not least enjoy our favorite cheesecake in Ankara, at Turta
Cafe . After all it was still Friday and we had 2 more days of weekend a head :)

vintageredbag

This bag was a gift from MTs aunt :) It is a vintage bag I saw while we were digging in her closet for some vintage stuff :P and she gave it to me. I like the quilted Chanel like leather, the chain straps and the color of course.

thatnecklace

I finally found the choker/plate necklace I have been searching for at anarchystreet and luckily with an affordable price :) I like the fact that it is not too tight on the neck.

whitejeans

This can be one of my most business look... I don't have a suit not even a pair of classic black trousers. I have lots of lots of jeans and a few jackets and shirts to make my jeans smartcasual ONLY when it is necessary :) I bought this grey sweater from İpekyol, the 3D flowers on the arms are so cute that I could not resist buying.

And yes we are almost there, I mean the weekend :P and I hope the afternoon would be quiet fun as we have the Summer Farewell party at the backyard of our office :) Hope it does not rain...

SALT

Istanbul Bienal (Untitled) has started, I have not been to SALT before and there was a list of galleries I would like to visit. And as expected we could only do one of them in one day besides some window-shopping at Nişantaşı.

We have decided to visit SALT. It is an institutiona sponsored by Garanti which is a necessary addition to İstanbul art scene. There are several exhibitions, a roofgarden project, a cafe and the Robinson Crusoe Bookstore.

I usually do not wear vintage pieces but I like this cute vintage-like piece from H&M (my first purchase from the Ankara store)

breakfastandhearts

We were in Istanbul this weekend :) Oh I ♥ istanbul, can't do without it... The day started with a breakfast at Mangerie Bebek... It is a rooftop terrace cafe with stylish interior and nice food, I strongly recommend but preferably not for a weekend breakfast as it would be too crowded.

It was such a summery day perfect for my cute red hearted Melissa shoes :)

mustard

Luckily it will not be another dull, dark fall this season. We will be seeing lots of colors and prints. Mustard will definitely be one of them. I like the color and think it suits perfectly with fall.

I have just found these high waist pants in Zara, guess they are from the Pre-Fall season. Photo is taken while heading to Nu Teras. Glad that we have been there just before the terrace season ended. Nice place, nice food and musics. If you do not want to eat you can just chill out at the bar with the beautiful view.

(Guess I will be wearing these pants quiet often these days.)

Here are more examples of Mustard from the runways and the streets...

I also like the nail polish in mustard :)

weekend

Alaçatı is our favorite place during spring/summertime as you might have noticed from my previous posts :)

We were again in Alaçatı this weekend with our friends, it is usually so crowded in
July and August but we were there especially because of the PWA (windsurf world cup)which took place last week. We had the chance to see several world famous surfers. The wind was strong and it was really fun to watch them racing. Our windsurf ambassador Çağla Kubat was there too. She not only took place in the organization but also raced for Turkey as well as Lena Erdil and several others. It is really nice to see such events taking place in Turkey.

Rowenta was one of the sponsors like Pegasus, and they had beauty stands at the
beach. I had later seen that other (famous!) bloggers were also there to attend Rowenta events but I have not seen them as we went to surfing after seeing the finals.

This time we stayed in Adaçatı Konukevi. It is a small, nice boutique hotel run by 2
lovely sisters. They are also running the beautiful Adaçatı Cafe where we had our breakfasts. The streets around the hotel are full of antique shops, boutiques and stonehouse hotels. As Kemalpaşa street is too crowded these days, we really liked wandering around the hotel and discovering new places in those silent streets.

As we only stayed 2 days, I could not do shopping except a few bracelets but there were much more :) Next time I would like to spend some time in those antique shops and galleries hunting something for our house.
