riva

Yes again another Chanel Nail Polish. But this time it is just the starting point of my story :)

Riva Nail Polish, first presented in Chanel 2011 Resort and part of the Cote D'Azur make up collection. I love the soft color and I wanted it since I saw it worn by the models in St. Tropez. Perfect matching for Karl's Resort Collection. And luckily this time I don't not have to wait for it :) I am sure there will be similar and much pricey alternatives within next months but I could not resist :P

Enough about the nail polishes... I want to write about Chanel's Resort 2011 Collection.

"
It was like something out of a quintessential Riviera movie. With the sun setting over the sea, hundreds of Chanel's invited guests sitting in the red wooden chairs of Saint-Tropez's famous Sénéquier, and many more onlookers piling onto balconies and pressing against barricades, Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik, and the rest of Karl Lagerfeld's cast arrived at Quai Jean Jaurès via speedboat. And like the carefree starlets and jet-setters they were channeling, the models traipsed down the street-cum-runway often barefoot, wearing seventies-ish diaphanous caftans, long crocheted dresses, ruffle-lapelled silk jersey trouser suits, and patchwork denim skirts.... "

Style.com's review expressed the mood of the show perfectly.
There was nothing new but it was like a jet-set movie you want to be part of... He sure knows how to do it his own way...
